Taken on 13th July, 2009 in Zona Centro, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. Nikon D90, Exposure 1/500s at f/4.2, Focal Length 32mm, ISO Speed 200. Show on Flickr.

Today marked the longest time I've spent out of Ireland.

The last time I spent 6 months on the road I was 18 years old and had just finished school. It's bizarre to realise that it took another 9 years, half the life of that young man, for me to venture this long again.

But here I am, and it won't be ending any time soon.

Here's to reaching a point where your 18-year-old self always thought you would be. Sláinte.

Congratulations on making it this far Oisin, both in terms of your travels and your project here at day516. I'm sure any homesickness you might feel is eased a little by the global presence of such authentic reminders of home as the pub pictured here, a near perfect reproduction of the Dublin original if ever I saw one! Sláinte.

And you haven't even seen the inside Phil: )

Haha! Life could be a Moebius stripe or an M.C. Escher piece ;)
