I'm delighted to share the news that Day 516 is a finalist for Best Photo Blog at the Irish Blog Awards.

Thanks sincerely to anyone who nominated or voted for me. I hoped, but never expected, to make it to the final shortlist and am absolutely delighted. Thank you to Damien Mulley and Team Blog Awards who put a terrific amount of effort into this event. And thank you to pix.ie who sponsor the category.

Ronan's work is expertly accomplished. In companion to strong images he often deconstructs the production process so that we can all learn from his approach.

North Atlantic Skyline

John Smyth is a master of skies, whether overcast, burning red, shining blue, or hiding in darkness. Each entry on his blog has a custom background colour to complement and enhance the image.

Favourites: Ice-cold, The Night Watchman.
Red Mum

Red Mum has been blogging strongly for years. Her photos always capture and emphasise mood beautifully, whether at events like a parade or a motor-race, or on a quiet deserted beach.

Favourites: Washington DC, Anthony Gormley's Another Place.

The 2010 Blog Awards are on Saturday 27th March at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway at 7.00pm sharp.
